Saigon Fencing Club is an ELITE fencing club in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Fencing is a physical and mental sport that builds speed, agility, coordination, and flexibility while also improving mental focus and discipline. Kids also learn sportsmanship skills as respecting one’s opponent is one of the cornerstones of fencing. Our goals are to have fun, stay fit, create friendships and learn one of the oldest surviving Olympic sports!
Adult Fencing (Intro to Fencing)
Catered to busy adults, one can sign up for a 4 session beginner class as a group. Requirement to be a member.
Adult Fencing (Active Member)
Be a member and fence during our open sparring evenings and have private lesson w/ our coaches.
Master Class (All Ages)
Excel in the sport, learn new strategies, prepare yourself for competitive fencing. Simply win games.
Preparatory Class (Ages 4-5)
Our Prep classes prepare our young fencers with good agility, balance, and coordination – very good in fencing.
Kids Class (Ages 6-10)
They will learn footwork, bladework, fencing tactics and etiquette, physical conditioning.
Youth Class (Ages 11-17)
This Youth programme is a great way for teens to learn a new sport and get a good mental and physical workout.

OUR CLASSES
The focus on developing young fencers have seen many of our fencers grow up in our club. Based on a systematic progression of our curriculum following the 5-Level grading system, organised into age appropriate classes.
FIRST FENCING CLASS
The classes are 30 up to 60 mins held once per week (Saturdays) and are organized with games that help them pick up good motor and hand-eye coordination skills.
KIDS CLASS
Held once or twice per week, the lessons are 60 mins long depending on level. They will learn footwork, bladework, fencing tactics and etiquette, physical conditioning, and increase their mental focus, discipline and determination.
YOUTH CLASS
Fencing is a sport that requires both intelligence as well as physical agility. It appeals to many youth who like a thinking sport with the excitement of a duel against another fencer. It helps develop strategic thinking and quick decision making, requiring strong mental focus to out-wit an opponent.
ADULT MEMBER CLASS
Catered to busy adults, one can sign up for a 4-session beginner course as a group (1.5hrs each lesson held in the evening), or schedule individual private lessons with one of our qualified coaches. Then adult fencers can join as a member and fence during our open sparring evenings and schedule private one lessons with our coaches. Be included in the rankings.

Saturday 9:30AM – 10:30AM, Saturday 10:30AM – 11:30AM
YOUTH CLASS
Saturday 1:00PM – 2:00PM, Sunday 1:00PM – 2:00PM
ADULT CLASS
Tuesday 7:00PM – 8:30PM, Thursday 7:00PM – 8:30PM, Saturday 5:00-7:00PM
Advanced Training
Private lessons (advanced trainings) are scheduled by appointment
EXPERT TRAINERS
Lead the fencing programme for all community athletes, working in partnership with both Local Coaches to create a world leading training environment, preparing athletes for success at major events and the Olympic Games.
Coach Paul
Pioneer fencer in the Philippines. Experienced university varsity and national level. Have been playing Fencing since 1999
Coach Josh
He is a health care professional in Saigon and loves teaching about the sport he loves — Fencing! He has a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, a former member of the Philippine National fencing team and a 3-time Gold Medalist in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Fencing Championships.
